Meet Jennifer Casas, our brand champion from California. Jennifer wrote to us this past spring. As part of our on-going client feature series we bring you her story, with permission.

Hi there! I received a couple of your products via a Glowing Beets subscription box last year. I didn’t really commit to using them immediately as I had other products to use up first.

Previse first partnered with Glowing Beets last year as part of their summer beauty box campaign. Our Defend Level 1&2 and Nutrify Level 1-6 were featured in their June subscriber box. Jennifer shared the photo below with us.

Jennifer continues,

This past summer (2016) I worked with the US Forest Services in Big Bear, California. The elevation is greater than 7,000 feet. I spent the majority of my time outside in the sun working in the forest. While I am very good at wearing plenty of sun protection, the work and environment can take a toll on skin.

In addition to the UV impact on skin, wind and dry air take their toll. Did you know that at higher altitudes, a thinner atmosphere filters less UV radiation. With every 1,000 metres increase in altitude, UV levels increase by 10% to 12%. Jennifer’s skin was subjected to approximately 22% more UV intensity as compared to working at sea level [7,000 feet equate to approximately 2,100 meters]*

I decided when I moved up there for the summer that I would bring along my Previse products to finally use up. It was a fortunate decision. My skin actually looked and felt better at the end of the summer than it did prior! My coworkers took notice as well. I want to thank you for producing such effective products. I look forward to purchasing more in the future.
